When to stop

  • Smoke, a burning smell, damaged wiring, standing water near power, or an active leak: stop using the appliance. Disconnect power only from a safe, dry location and arrange qualified service.
  • Stop if a part is damaged, jammed, sharp, inaccessible, or does not match your manual. Do not force parts or remove a cabinet panel.
Every check and possible next step

Start at “Is there buildup or is drawer cleaning due?”. Choose only what you observed. An unobserved condition is its own answer.

Is there buildup or is drawer cleaning due?

Is there buildup or is drawer cleaning due?

The manual calls for cleaning once or twice a month. A small amount of clean water left in a compartment can be normal.

  • No buildup and cleaning is not due
Next action recorded — The observed condition does not call for further action in this task, or a different task is more appropriate. Keep the observation in your record; do not infer a failed component.
  • Residue is present or scheduled cleaning is due
Continue to Did the unplugged washer drawer release normally?.
  • I have not checked this yet
Observation still needed — Your notes are saved. The missing observation is not evidence of a fault or a completed action. Complete only the steps you can perform safely, or ask for help.
